Fettlr

Terms of use

The agreement between Fettlr and the people who use it.

Note for launch. These terms are a working draft. Have a solicitor review them before you rely on them commercially, then delete this note.

What Fettlr is

Fettlr is a tool for compiling a structured photographic record of a property against a schedule of condition. It is not a legal service, does not provide legal advice, and does not assess whether a deduction from a deposit is reasonable or lawful.

What we do not promise

We cannot guarantee the outcome of any deposit claim, dispute or adjudication. No deposit scheme endorses Fettlr, and using it does not oblige any scheme, landlord or adjudicator to reach a particular conclusion.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of what you record, for having the right to photograph the property, and for complying with your own obligations to tenants, landlords and deposit schemes. Photographs must not be edited after capture if the record is to be relied on as evidence.

Accounts and payment

Agency accounts are billed on the terms agreed at signup. There is no minimum term. Reports already produced remain yours if an account is closed.

Acceptable use

Do not use Fettlr to record property you have no right to access, to harass anyone, or to compile records you intend to alter or misrepresent.

Liability

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Otherwise, our liability for any claim connected to the service is limited to the amount paid for it in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
